French beans and carrots tossed together with mild spices.
Ingredients of Frans Bean Gajar
500 gm frans beans
250 gm carrots-peeled
1/4 cup ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 cup onions-grated
1 cup tomatoes-grated
2 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
How to Make Frans Bean Gajar
1.1. Wash and string the beans. Cut into small, horizontal pieces. Cut the carrot into cubes.
2.2. Heat the ghee in a heavy-based pan; then add the cumin seeds and asafoetida. When the seeds splutter, add the ginger and the onions. Saute till light brown.
3.3. Add the tomatoes and stir-fry till the fat separates. Add the coriander powder, salt, turmeric, chilli powder and the garam masala. Add the beans and carrots and saute over high heat till they look glossy.
4.4. Lower heat and cook covered, till tender, stirring off and on to ensure that it does not scorch.
