This gajar paratha is made using grated carrots that are mixed in whole wheat flour, flavoured with cumin seed powder, green chillies and coriander leaves. It's just the perfect paratha for a delicious winter breakfast meal.

Ingredients of Gajar Paratha

  • 2 cups Atta
  • 1 cup Carrots, grated
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seed powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Green chilli, chopped
  • to taste Red chilli powder
  • 2-3 tsp Coriander leaves, chopped
  • Water, to knead
  • Ghee for cooking

How to Make Gajar Paratha

To begin with, take a large mixing bowl, add grated carrots, wheat flour, ginger, cumin seed powder, chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste. Mix well.

Now, add water in small portions to knead a soft dough. Take a portion out of the dough and roll it nicely. Heat a tawa on medium flame.

Cook the paratha evenly from both sides until it becomes golden brown. (Apply a generous amount of ghee or oil while cooking it.)
4.
Gajar paratha is ready!
