About Indian Green Fish Curry : It is a very popular recipe of East Indian Cuisine. Delicious and very easy to prepare with the ingredients available at home and perfect to have with steamed rice and chapatis. Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric before making the dish.

Ingredients of Green Fish Curry

  • 2 Oil
  • 1/2 Coriander Leaves
  • 4 Green Chillies
  • 2-3 flakes Ginger
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Tamarind paste
  • 2 Onion
  • 1/2 Mint
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • A pinch of Black pepper
  • 250 gms Fish
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 cup water

How to Make Green Fish Curry

  • 1.Grind Coriander leaves, Mint leaves, Green chillies, Ginger, Garlic and turmeric paste in a grinder.
  • 2.Heat oil in a vessel and add chopped onion. Stir fry it until onion gets soft.
  • 3.Add tumeric and pour the thick green paste in the vessel and add some water.
  • 4.Stir fry for 5 minutes and add black pepper powder and salt to taste.
  • 5.Add water to make the required gravy. Then place the fish into the vessel. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the fish is cooked.
  • 6.Serve it hot with steamed rice or rotis.

Recipe Notes

 Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric before making the dish.
