Tune, hung curd & cheese mixture stuffed between bread slices, coated in an egg batter and deep fried. Served with a fresh pineapple salad.

Ingredients of Hot Tuna Sandwich

  • 16 slices bread
  • 50 gm butter
  • 200 gm tuna fish
  • 50 gm hung curd
  • Grated rind 1 sweet lime
  • 1 Tbsp grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp kashmiri mirch
  • For the pineapple salad:
  • 4 Tbsp diced pineapple
  • 1 Tbsp breakfast sugar
  • 1 Tbsp shredded mint
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make Hot Tuna Sandwich

  • 1.Trim the bread with a round cutter. Butter each round.
  • 2.Flake fish, stir in hung curd, rind, cheese and seasoning. Spread over the bread.
  • 3.Top with remaining slices and press firmly together.
  • 4.Beat eggs, milk, oil and kashmiri mirch together. Season.
  • 5.Dip sandwiches in egg and shallow fry in hot oil until golden.
  • 6.Drain and serve hot with pineapple salad.
  • For Pineapple salad:
  • 1.Combine all ingredients and serve chilled.
