Ingredients of Masala Chicken Egg Bhurji Sandwich

  • 200 gms Chicken
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 large Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • 1/2 Mayonnaise
  • 6 Slices of bread
  • Butter

How to Make Masala Chicken Egg Bhurji Sandwich

Wash the chicken and put it in a pressure cooker on medium heat. Add water so that the chicken pieces are submerged and pressure cook the meat with a dash of salt until it is soft and tender. Once the boiled chicken is ready, set it aside to cool down.

Once it cooled down, take two forks and carefully remove the flesh from the bones. Shred the chicken the allow it to cool down.

In the meantime, take a bowl and beat the eggs and add spices turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder. Mix until the ingredients are combined well and set aside.

In a pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and green chillies to it and saute. Cook until the onions turn translucent.

Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and mix well. At this point, reduce the heat and pour the beaten eggs into the pan. Stir gently and continuously until the eggs are scrambled.

At this point, add shredded chicken to the egg mixture and mix well so that the ingredients are combined well. Once the egg is cooked, cut the egg and chicken lumps down into smaller pieces so that it becomes easier to fill in the sandwich.

Take two bread slices, and layer both sides with butter. Lightly toast them in a toaster.

Add a layer of mayonnaise on one of the bread slices and place a generous amount of masala chicken egg bhurji mixture on it. Place another slice of bread on top of it.
9.
Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices, and cut the Masala Chicken Egg Bhurji diagonally into halves. And it’s done!
