Seasoned mutton bits cooked in a rich gravy of potatoes and a host of masalas.

Ingredients of Methi Mutton Gravy

  • 8- 10 pieces mutton
  • 1 potato -cubed into medium pieces
  • A small bunch of methi leaves
  • 1/2 cup coconut paste
  • 1/2 cup onion paste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • Cilantro - little
  • Oil - required amount
  • Salt - required amount
  • Ghee - little

How to Make Methi Mutton Gravy

  • 1.Pressure cook the mutton with the required salt and turmeric and keep aside.
  • 2.Heat oil in the cooker and fry the ginger garlic paste,tomatoes
  • 3.Add potato, mutton (without broth) and methi leaves and fry for few minutes
  • 4.Add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and fry for few minutes
  • 5.Now add onion and coconut paste and fry till the raw smell goes
  • 6.Finally add the mutton broth and some cilantro leaves and close the cooker and wait for 1 whistle and then switch off the stove (Don't cook too much since we are using potato)
  • 7.Pour some ghee and serve
