Ingredients of Provoleta

  • 200 gms provolone cheese, unsmoked, sliced 1 inch thick
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • Flour for coating

How to Make Provoleta

Coat the provolone cheese slice with flour. Dust off any excess flour.

Over medium-high heat, place a small cast-iron pan. When it gets heated, put in the cheese

Sprinkle half the oregano and crushed red pepper on the cheese.

Let it cook from one side for about 2 minutes.
5.
Flip it gently with a spatula and cook the other side for about 2 minutes.
6.
Once brown from both sides, serve immediately with bread and chimichurri sauce.
