About Tomato Garlic Chutney Recipe: With the mouth-watering flavours of garlic and tomatoes along with crackle of mustard seeds and fiery red chilli, this chutney would be a great addition on your lunch and dinner table!

Ingredients of Tomato Garlic Chutney

  • 250 gms tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • curry leaves
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp hing
  • To taste salt
  • oil

How to Make Tomato Garlic Chutney

  • 1.Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, allow it to crackle.
  • 2.Then throw in the curry leaves and roast slightly.
  • 3.Next add the chopped garlic and roast for a minute or two until you smell the aroma.
  • 4.Once the garlic is roasted, add the tomatoes and heat on low flame. Sautee it, until it gets soft and mushy and you get a red, thick, paste like consistency.
  • 5.Finally add red chilli powder and hing, mix everything well.
  • 6.Add salt, mix again. Switch off the flame allow it to cool.
  • 7.Now take a blender and blend it into chutney of your desired consistency.
  • 8.Take out the chutney and pair with roti, naan or rice.
