Ingredients of Whole Wheat Nankhatai

  • 2 Cups wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp gram flour
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 cups powder sugar
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp rawa
  • A pinch of salt
  • for garnishing almonds

How to Make Whole Wheat Nankhatai

  • 1.In a bowl put all the flour, add baking powder, rawa and mix all together.
  • 2.In a separate bowl, add ghee and sugar powder mix it with your hand and add yogurt.
  • 3.Mix in the dry ingredient to the ghee- sugar. Combine to make a dough.
  • 4.Make small balls and pat it gently to flatten the top portion.
  • 5.Add an almond on top of each nankhatai, place them on a greased tray or lined baking tray.
  • 6.Place the pan in a pre-heated oven (200 degrees Celsius).
  • 7.Bake (170 degrees Celsius) for 16 minutes until the edges of the nankhatai changes the colour to light brown.
