Amritsar is a land of rich history and culture. While many people visit the region to explore the various sights, there is a different fan following for those who come here for the food. The lanes here are full of delicious delicacies and stories of age-old recipes. And no matter where you go, finding that exact Amritsari taste can be a challenge. However, if you want to get that taste in Delhi, you are in luck! Recently, Tamra in Shangri-La hosted a flavourful Amritsari food festival, and without a doubt, their dishes will make your mouth water.
The food festival is being led by Chef Gourav Punjabi from Amritsar, Punjab, and Chef Gagandeep Singh Sawhney. Tamra will be hosting this from 16th July to 25th July. At the food festival, you will find a range of delicious delicacies both on vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus.
For the vegetarian one, we highly recommend you try soya Tawa masala, Amritsari kulcha, Amritsari aloo badiyan, and Pindi chana. For the non-veg one, you cannot miss the famed Amritsari fish tikka, Tawa boti masala, bheja fry, and rara meat! However, when you have these dishes, keep some space for the special masala chaas and dessert as well.
Overall, we feel this food festival is a must-go if you enjoy having Punjabi flavours. This food festival will surely be a memorable one.
