6 New Eateries in Hudson Lane, North Campus You Must Explore

Winters are fast setting in and the semester-end anxiety is palpable across Delhi University students. You would want to think that the streets of Hudson lane, the hub of North Campus students, would be emptier. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Winter, summers, rain, exams or vacations - Hudson lane and its cafes are forever bustling with students. From catching up with friends, to completing their notes, the eateries in Hudson lane are always full of students chatting and gorging on their favourite snacks. And while we totally understand the bias towards the cheesy pastas and nachos of BYD, The Tandoori Momos of QD'S and the pizzas of Ricos, there are many eateries in Hudson lane that are no less popular and are making just the right kind of noise amongst the youth.

1. Dum Maaro DumOne of the newest entrants in the GTB circuit, Dum Maaro Dum is already creating ripples amongst the college-going crowd with its hippie vibe and its interesting range of food serving the best of Indian, Continental and Lebanese fare. 2. The Vintage Avenue

The cutesy café is packed with all things vintage and wonderful. Vintage Avenue has quaint windows, marble tables and cozy wooden flooring. The picturesque ceiling decorated with flowers and fairy lights makes for a delightful ambience you won't want to miss. But, its not just about looks here, there's ample good food to pick from too. From Spaghetti Bolognese to pita pockets, Mediterranean sandwichs and falafel and hummus, Vintage Avenue leaves no stone unturned to impress with its tasty dishes.

3. Cafeteria & Co. Another culinary and visual delight clubbed into one. Counted amongst the quirky and cool cafes of Hudson Lane, Cafeteria and Co, stands apart because of its opulent and Fine-dine like ambience in affordable prizes. For a true wholesome and delicious treat, you have to try their Hexizza (A large pizza, equally distributable amongst a group of 6 people), the fiery 'Peri Peri Chicken Tikka', the Beyonce burger and the watermelon cooler.

4. YOLO 21Generous portions of food, quick and efficient service and cool and cozy interiors, Yolo wins your heart the moment you step foot into the café. If you identify yourself as a food lover and genuinely believe that 'You Only Live Once', then you must try their wholesome lasagna loaded with cheese and meat/veggies. The YOLO 21 Pizza and gigantic chocolate Sundae are a must-try too.

5. The Hudson CafeThe Hudson Café is one of the gems of Hudson lane and once you make it through the cafe leaving behind the long queue trying to get a table- you would know why. In its two years of establishment, Hudson café with its delicious range of Italian, continental and Indian food has hooked the students of Delhi University and how!
