Coffee lovers, we are sure you can't function well without a cup of strong cappuccino first thing in the morning. But would you ever think of adding something 'glittery' to make it extra special? Unimaginable? Not really, thanks to coffee artists around the globe, having a cup of coffee with a shine and a sparkle is no longer stuff of sci-fi movies alone! The shimmer they add to your latte is not really glitter, its edible colour that glams up your coffee further. Glitter coffee is available in India too. Australian based coffee chain Coffee By Di Bella in Mumbai, serves glitter coffee called Diamond Cappuccino and Gold Cappuccino.
The sparkly concoction starts with a normal cappuccino base, a double espresso topped with decorative steamed milk foam and is further topped with small spoonful of edible glitter to give the drink its signature sparkle. You may wonder, what is it that makes edible glitter possible? The diamond and gold glitter is made using a combination of crystal sugar mixed with edible food colouring, which is further heated together to create a signature bling and shine.
The photogenic drink tastes no different from other cappuccinos, the only difference lies in the glitter clinging to the drinker's lips. Nonetheless, it has left the admirers asking their local cafes to start something similar.Glitter coffee is surely making its presence felt and it has taken social media by storm. People who have tried this are loving it and posting their experiences.
So get your dose of glitter to shoo away weekday blues and kick-start your morning with some bling on it!
