There are good bars, great bars and fraud bars! I figured a fraud one recently at a round of drinks with friends. A cocktail mentioning Cuban used cheap Indian rum and the server had the audacity to smile it off and pass a remark, 'Looks like you are from the industry.'  Clearly they knew what they were doing and their intention was to cheat. And hence, this piece so that you are not caught unaware.Here are a few things which you should notice to avoid trickery perpetrated for bigger profits.Beer Buckets

Many a times the Y may not be of bad quality and is a pleasant drink however the deceit is in passing you a Y in the name of a more expensive X.  Examples would include replacing a said spirit with cheaper ones, Cointreau a premium orange liqueur replaced with a generic triple sec, Tequila replaced with a local agave spirit etc. It is very much prevalent in the 'fraud bars' and once you figure them; avoid them as you wouldn't want adulteration in your experience which may be seen in their food too.

One only wakes up the next day to figure out the scam in their bill and the only thing one can do about it is to start drinking responsibly.
