Stuffed Suji Roll Recipe I How To Make Stuffed Suji Roll:
Ingredients:
For the batter
1) Semolina - 1 cup
2) All-purpose flour - 3 tablespoons
3) Yogurt - 1/2 cup
4) Coriander leaves (chopped)
5) Green chillies - 1 tablespoon
6) Cumin seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
7) Salt to taste
8) Water
For the filling
1) Mashed boiled potatoes - 1 cup
2) Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
3) Chilli Flakes - 1 tablespoon
4) Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
5) Cumin seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
6) Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/4 tablespoons
7) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tablespoon
For the tadka
1) Green chillies (finely chopped)
2) Curry leaves
3) mustard seeds
4) Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
5) Chilli flakes - 1 tablespoon
How to prepare stuffed suji rolls -
Step 1: First, take suji in a bowl. Add all-purpose flour, yoghurt, coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, salt and water. Mix everything nicely. Let the batter rest for about twenty minutes.
Step 2: Meanwhile, grease a plate with some oil. Spread some batter on the plate and steam it for around 12 minutes.
Step 3: Now, take the mashed boiled potatoes in a separate bowl. Put other ingredients into it including coriander leaves, chilli flakes, sesame seeds and cumin seeds. Now, heat a little bit of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. Put the potato mixture followed by spices like Kashmiri red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix everything properly.
Step 4: Now, take out the steamed batter from the platter. It'll look like flatbread.
Step 5: Spread the prepared potato masala over the semolina flatbread properly. Now, roll the same. Cut into pieces.
Step 6: Now, prepare a nice tadka. Heat some oil in a different pan. Add mustard seeds, green chillies, curry leaves, sesame seeds and chilli flakes. Put that over the rolls and enjoy!
