Whenever we visit restaurants we feel that the curry served by them appears eloquent but the same dish does not have that kind of finish or glow when cooked at home. The restaurant-style curry has a smooth, silken finish to it. There is a certain glow that often also reflects on our faces. That's one reason why we tend to relish the dishes served by restaurants. Not so much at home, despite the home-cooked food being healthier. Why is that? What does a chef at a restaurant do that people at home could not? There's a trick to make the curry served at a restaurant.Celebritychef Kunal Kapur is telling us the secret.
“There is a difference between restaurant-style and home-style curry,” he said in an Instagram post, asking his viewers to watch the video to understand how it's done.
Chef Kunal says in the video that if you want to make your curry appear restaurant-style, use tomatoes in abundance. In fact, the quantity of tomatoes should be double the amount of onion used in it. “If you remember this simple recipe your curry will come out nice,” he adds. Remember to cook for at least 10 minutes.

The celebrity chef regularly talks about how we can improve our food experience and relish or cook dishes in the right way. Previously, he shared the trick to peel hard vegetables like a carrot. “Peeling vegetables can be tricky, especially when it is something like a carrot,” he said in an Instagram post and asked his viewers to learn the proper way to peel carrots.
The video showed Kunal Kapur peeling off the skin from carrots rather easily, using a vegetable scraper. It showed him removing the skin for either end of the carrot first and then washing the carrots in a vessel. He then removed the skin from the middle.
Following the correct procedure while cooking not just makes the process easy but also makes the food tastier and healthier.
