The award ceremony took place on 1st June, in London, amidst loud criticism of its voting procedure. The ranking is drafted by approximately 1000 food critics, well-traveled gluttons, chefs & food industry professionals. For voting, no justification or comments are required. With Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana at no.2, the Roca Brothers have reclaimed the title and become the world's best gastronomic destination. The highest-ranking restaurant in USA this year, was Eleven Madison Park, New York at No. 5. It is great to note that Gaggan (Bangkok) climbed up to the No.10 position this year. The restaurant that serves Progressive Indian Cuisine has been successfully elevating Indian food in the global dining scene.
