Last month, famous chef Gordon Ramsay angered people when he called butter chicken a "curry" in the caption of an Instagram reel. In the same video, we see him cooking the gravy - but not very well, according to most netizens (Read the full story here). A few days back, another Indian gravy dish landed him in trouble online. Gordon posted a quick reel presenting a serving of Lamb Rogan Josh with Naan on his Instagram page. Netizens were far from pleased with his post, for multiple reasons. They were quick to point out the discrepancies in the gravy, naan and quantity. Some even accused the chef of "whitewashing" their cuisine.

In the reel, we see a person putting a few tablespoons of thick gravy in a copper vessel. They garnish the dish with chopped coriander leaves and then place two pieces of flattish bread inside the vessel, to the side. In the caption, Gordon has written, "Introducing the new, fragrant Lamb Rogan Josh from @breadstreetkitchen - served with saffron rice and warm garlic naan! Head to my stories to book your table today Gx." Bread Street Kitchen is an international restaurant chain owned by Ramsay. Check out the full video below:

The reel has received 1.5M views and 37K likes so far. People found Gordon's version of the dish highly problematic. They have criticised the look of the naan, the consistency of the gravy and the hilariously small portion of the food served. Read some of their reactions below:
"Why is that naan going inside a kadhai?!"
"Any chance it comes with the other half serving?"
"'Rogan' literally means the pool of oil in which the dish is cooked and at the end of the cooking, it is supposed to float on top of the dish when served. The one shown here looks like some generic gravy made with tomato."
"Imma need a little more food than that."
"I'm sorry to say, man. That's not rogan josh. The cut of the meat is wrong. The gravy is wrong. Even the naan is wrong. I'm a big fan but being a Kashmiri who cooks and rogan josh being one of my fav dishes, I can't accept that dish - especially the gravy you made. That's my 2 cents."
"Awww Ramsey! Looks nothing like a rogan josh...."
"Naan didn't come out of a clay oven, but a Costco instead."
"Where's the rest of it though?"
"It hurts to see this."
"Maybe the lamb Rogan Joe."
"Not at all impressive chef, sorry to say that - but neither your Rogan Josh carries that perfection and nor the naans... At least not the look of the food."
