We all look forward to enjoying a delicious meal at our favourite restaurant. But what if you were told that the bill was on the house? It seems like a scene straight out of a movie, right? Well, something similar happened to a person at a restaurant. The customer shared that he had ordered a falafel pita at CAVA, a Mediterranean food chain. He also uploaded a photo of his receipt, clearly showing that the dish was priced at $11.05 (approx. Rs 960) but the total was $0. Additionally, below the subtotal on the bill, the word 'love' was written. "Was the guy who made my sandwich in love with me? I tried to pay and he said, 'You're all set,' and this was the receipt," read the post. Take a look:

Since being shared, the post has gained over 3 million views. Internet users were quick to react, with people sharing their thoughts and theories about the situation. One person responded to his question about the server's feelings saying, "Signs point to yes."

Another user questioned why he didn't go back to speak with the server and said, "Instead of talking to him, you're posting it for likes from strangers." To this, the customer clarified that he was straight.

However, the reality behind this heartwarming gesture is something else. David Garcia, the manager of a CAVA location in Huntersville, had explained this in 2018. He had reportedly disclosed that CAVA's cash registers feature a 'love' button. This button allows servers to brighten someone's day, especially if they notice a customer is having a rough day, forgets their wallet, or is a regular patron there.
Despite the good intentions, CAVA cautions customers not to exploit this feature. "Hi! The love button does exist but it's up to the discretion of our team members. For their sake, please do not ask them to comp your meals," adds CAVA.

This kind of gesture isn't unique to CAVA. Other fast-food chains, like Chick-fil-A, also engage in acts of kindness. During their 'sunshine week,' they sometimes include heartfelt, handwritten notes in customers' food bags. Have you ever received a gesture of 'LOVE' from any brand?
