Ordering food online is such a trend these days that roads are full of delivery agents on bikes with large containers fixed on the seat of their bikes carrying food. The agents are zipping through the traffic to complete their delivery on time. And when one of those bikes park in front of our house to deliver our order, we just love the sight of it. One street vendor in Lucknow was clever enough to understand the appeal of the food delivery bikes and moved his business to a bike and modified it to resemble a food delivery agent's vehicle.
A food blogger from Lucknow spotted this vendor and captured him in a video, which he posted on his Instagram handle 'eattwithsid'. The street vendor sells small plates of idli and sambhar, on his bike. The video shows the bike turned into a mini street food shop with the food containers plastered with food images and menu. The menu shows 2 idli pieces priced at INR 30 and 3 pieces at INR 40.

The food blogger also tried the idli from the mobile street stall. In a small paper bowl, he is served idlis dunked in sambhar and topped with coconut chutney and tomatoes. It does look tempting. "Idli on bike in Lucknow," the blogger captioned the video.
The post further revealed that the bike-cum-stall is known as Udupi Idli Sambaar and can be found near Pizza Dine, Kapoorthala, Lucknow between 4 pm - 9 pm.
