Today, digital transaction has changed the way India exchanges money. You will find Unified Payments Interface (UPI) ids at shops in every nook and corner of the country. So much so that you will find digital payment facility at the last tea shop of India. Yes, that's right! Industrialist Anand Mahindra recently took to Instagram to hail a post featuring a teashop in Uttarakhand's Mana village - the last Indian village - which has UPI or Code for payment. This tea shop is dubbed to be the last tea shop of the country and is named accordingly - India's Last Tea Shop.
"As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. This captures the breathtaking scope and scale of India's digital payments ecosystem. Jai ho!" Anand Mahindra wrote, while re-sharing a post, originally posted by @arulmozhi2_O. "The last village, with 10,500 feet elevation, in Uttarakhand. Looks like UPI is there too... #digital_bharat," the tweet read. Take a look:

Another comment stated, "It's great breakthrough for digital India and appreciate to reach every citizen." A third person wrote, "It's a revolution. Completely changed our spending method."
For the unversed, Mana is dubbed to be the last Indian hamlet on the Alaknanda riverbank. It is about 50 kilometres from the Indo-Chinese border. The hamlet, especially the tea shop, is a popular tourist spot, with people visiting the place to experience the essence of sipping chai at the last stall of India.
