Ingredients of Baked Gujiya

  • For outer covering:
  • 450 gms maida
  • 2 gram salt
  • 20 ml refined oil
  • 200 gms margarine
  • 230 ml water
  • For filling:
  • 600 gms khoya
  • 100 gms coconut powder
  • 100 gms kaju
  • 100 gms sugar
  • 2 gram choti elaichi powder
  • 200 gms kishmish
  • 20 gms chirounji

How to Make Baked Gujiya

Mix maida, salt oil and water together .Knead well.

Rest the dough for 30 minutes.

For rolling:

1.
Roll the dough. And spread the margarine in the center. Seal the ends to make an envelope. Rest for 10 minutes. Roll again gently and do a book fold. Rest again.

Roll again and do a book fold and then rest.
3.
Roll and cot into roundels.

For filling:

1.
Mix all the ingredients for filling in a bowl. Fill each roundel with a scoop of filling.
2.
Place the gujiya on a tray and wash them with milk.
3.
Bake at 230 degree C for 25-30 minutes. Serve.
