About Beetroot & Coconut Dumplings Recipe: A perfect winter treat, these dumplings made with the goodness of winter special beetroot is just the right snack to try at home. Soak in the benefits of beetroot and coconut along with cinnamon, cardamom and honey with these delicious, sweet dumplings.
Ingredients of Beetroot & Coconut Dumplings
100 gms beetroot, grated
80 gms fresh coconut, grated
2 gms cinnamon powder
2 gms cardamom powder
30 gms honey
15 ml ghee
How to Make Beetroot & Coconut Dumplings
1.In a heated pan, add ghee and grated beetroot.
2.Sauté and add honey. Cook till the beetroot cooks and dries and a thick mixture forms.
3.Add half of the grated coconut and mix well.
4.Add the cinnamon and cardamom powder.
5.Mix well for 4 to 5 minutes and take it off the flame to let it cool.
6.Cut into any shape and coat with the grated coconut.
7.Chill in the refrigerator for minimum 30 minutes before serving.
