How to make Chinese Pakoda

Here we bring you one amazing Indo-Chinese recipe popularly known as Chinese pakoda, available in the streets of Mumbai. These pakoras are made with grated cabbage along with flour, some seasonings and a host of Chinese sauces. Basically, a mix and match of both Indian and Chinese ingredients.

Ingredients of Chinese Pakoda

  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup Grated Carrot
  • 1 tbsp Schezwan Sauce
  • 1/4 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • Salt as required
  • 1/2 cup Gram flour
  • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • To Deep Fry Oil

How to Make Chinese Pakoda

Take a large bowl, add all the veggies along with sauces and dry seasonings mentioned above and some salt.

Next step is to add besan, maida (all purpose flour) and corn flour (corn starch).

Mix everything well. Avoid adding water as vegetables have enough water inside them. Set the mixture aside for 20-25 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan. Take tiny portion of batter and gently drop them in the hot oil. Continue doing so with the rest of the batter.
5.
Fry the pakodas from both the sides until golden brown and crisp.
6.
Serve with sauces and enjoy.
