This recipe gives a delightful and delicious twist to Lord Ganesha's favourite sweet. Roasted nuts covered with a casing of glucose biscuits and chocolate powder.

Ingredients of Chocolate Modak Surprise

  • 1 packet glucose biscuits
  • 100 gms drinking chocolate powder
  • 1/4 tin condensed milk
  • 50 gms desiccated coconut powder
  • Cashews, Hazlenuts, Kishmish, Badaam (optional)
  • 5 Tbsp ghee

How to Make Chocolate Modak Surprise

  • 1.Powder the glucose biscuits well. Mix it with the drinking chocolate powder, milkmaid and four tablespoons of ghee.
  • 2.Fry the cashews and hazlenuts in 1 tablespoon ghee.
  • 3.Make a ball of the chocolate mix and while you do so, add one of the dry fruits in the center Complete by giving it the Modak shape. You can use moulds also.
  • 4.Chef's tip: Roll the modaks in desiccated coconut and serve chilled! It's great to have kids picking out the Modaks and wondering what they'll find in the center each time.
