Ingredients of Crispy Chicken Tortilla Balls
- 150 g chicken thighs, minced (fine)
- 1 medium onion, peeled & finely chopped
- 1 tsp full dairy cream
- 2 tbsp white bread crumbs
- Pinch of paprika powder
- 1 egg white
- Pinch of thyme
- Salt, to taste
- 3 crushed peppercorns
- 2 tbsp mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 tortilla bread, cut into strips
- Refined oil, for frying
- Siracha sauce, for serving
- Mustard mayonnaise
- 1 small bowl French fries
- Pinch of celery salt
How to Make Crispy Chicken Tortilla Balls

Loosen the chicken mince with a whisk. Add onion, cream, bread crumbs, paprika powder, thyme, salt, crushed peppercorn, and half the quantity of egg white.

Mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Divide the mixture into six equal parts.

Stuff each portion with mozzarella cheese, shaping them into six round balls. Beat the remaining egg white with a fork.

Carefully coat chicken balls with egg white without losing their shape. Roll the balls in tortilla bread strips, ensuring they are well coated.

Roll them tightly with your hands to secure the tortilla strips around the chicken balls. Let them rest for 10 minutes.

Heat refined oil in a deep pan. Fry the balls on moderate heat until the tortilla strips are golden brown; then, remove and place them on oil-absorbent paper.

Fry the French fries until crisp and light golden brown, then sprinkle with celery salt. Serve the crispy chicken tortilla balls with sriracha sauce & mustard mayonnaise.
