Mock duck marinated with oriental flavours of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, honey and fried golden.

Ingredients of Honey Glazed Mock Duck

  • 1/2 kg mock duck
  • 1 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbsp light soya sauce
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar (you can use regular vinegar also)
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • Salt to flavor
  • Asparagus

How to Make Honey Glazed Mock Duck

  • 1.Mock duck has a meaty flavor but made with vegetarian ingredients, as the name suggests. Usually its made with soya but the one used in this recipe is made with wheat protien. It is a low fat, high protien substitute for duck meat. Available at leading supermarkets.
  • 2.Marinate the mock duck with all the ingredients for an hour or so. Keep it in the refrigerator.
  • 3.Once marinated, in a pan, stir fry the duck till golden brown and serve with some stir-fried asparagus.
