How to make Indian Bibimbap

Originally this dish is from Korea, but seeing the lack of ingredients and different taste preferences, we bring you an Indian version of bibimbap. It is nutritious and delicious!

Ingredients of Indian Bibimbap

  • For Rice:
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • For Chicken Marinade
  • 4 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • For Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup Cherry tomato and onion
  • 3 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
  • Chopped Vegetables :
  • 1/2 cup Bean Sprouts
  • 1/2 cup Eggplant
  • 1/2 cup Onion
  • 1/2 cup Green beans
  • 1/2 cup Zucchini
  • For Seasonings
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • A pinch of Chilli flakes

How to Make Indian Bibimbap

To prepare the chicken marinade, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped garlic and sugar.

When your chicken is cooked and boiled add the marinade into it and keep it in refrigerator for an hour.

Cook your rice.

While your rice is boiled, prepare the sauce of the dish. For this you would need tomato, onion, chilli powder, chilli flakes, soy sauce and chopped garlic. Roughly chop the tomatoes and onions and sautee them till they are soft. In a blender add all the ingredients of the sauce and blend till a paste is formed.

In a pan add the thinly sliced vegetables and cook them in sesame oil, to this also add the shreds of chicken. Cook both of them together. Throw in your salt and pepper for taste.

Lastly, in a bowl put your rice at bottom, add the mix of cooked vegetables and chicken and finally pour the sauce according to your taste.

You can choose to top it with fried egg as well. And your Indian bibimbap is ready!
