A hot comforting beverage that hails from the beautiful Kashmir. Kahwa leaves simmered in water with cinnamon, cardamom and the added crunchiness of almonds.

Ingredients of Kahwa

  • 1 liter water
  • 75 gm sugar
  • 20 gm cinnamon sticks
  • 10 gm cardamom powder
  • 40 gm kahwa tea
  • 50 gm almonds-slivered

How to Make Kahwa

  • 1.Boil the water with sugar, cinnamon and green cardamom powder for 5 minutes.
  • 2.Add the tea leaves and remove from the flame.
  • 3.Cover with a lid and brew for 3 minutes.
  • 4.Strain and pour into cups and add slivered almonds into each cup.
  • 5.Serve hot.
