  • 500 gms ash plantain (semi ripe)
  • 20 gms turmeric
  • to taste salt
  • Coconut oil (for deep frying)

How to Make Kerala Neenthram Chips (Plantain Chips)

  • 1.Slice the plantain into circles 1/8 cm in thickness.
  • 2.Soak in turmeric water ten to fifteen minutes.
  • 3.Heat oil and deep fry the chips until crisp on a medium flame.
  • 4.Remove the chips and add salt.
  • 5.When cold, store in an airtight container.
