Laksa Chicken Tikka

Marinated in the beautiful flavours of laksa paste and yogurt, chicken pieces are grilled over charcoal fire.

Ingredients of Laksa Chicken Tikka

  • For Laksa Paste (1Tbsp):
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp lemongrass
  • A pinch of coriander powder
  • 1 red chilly, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp shrimp paste (available in food stores)
  • A pinch of paprika
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • For the Chicken Tikka:
  • 200 gm chicken leg, bone less
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • To taste - salt

How to Make Laksa Chicken Tikka

  • 1.For the Laksa Paste, mix ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • 2.Wash the chicken pieces well and drain. Marinate in salt and ginger garlic paste for 30mins. Drain excess water and keep the chicken aside.
  • 3.In the mean while make a paste of sauteed laksa paste, yogurt and salt. Marinade chicken in the same for 4 hours.
  • 4.Skewer the chicken pieces and grill over charcoal fire.
