Lemon Rasam: Rasam is a popular south indian dish and we can find many variations of it. Here we bring a delicious recipe of tangy lemon rasam, which is made with arhar dal and some spices.

Ingredients of Lemon Rasam

  • Half bowl boiled arhar dal
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1-inch ginger, thinly sliced
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 4-5 springs of curry leaves
  • 1 tsp coriander leaves
  • Salt and sugar, to taste
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 Tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 red chilli
  • Water, if needed

How to Make Lemon Rasam

Boil tomato, ginger, green chillies, 2-3 springs of curry leaves and coriander leaves.

Once mushy, add boiled dal to it and adjust salt and sugar.
3.
Add water to adjust the consistency of rasam and boil for a while.
4.
Lower the flame and add lemon juice.
5.
Prepare a tadka with ghee, mustard seeds, red chilli and curry leaves and add.
6.
Switch off the flame immediately and serve hot.
