A quick and easy Maharashtrian snack made out of steamed rice flour. It is super healthy and tastes best when served with dahi or green chilli thecha.

Ingredients of Maharashtrian Nivagrya

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 2-3 Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Oil, as per need
  • to taste Salt

How to Make Maharashtrian Nivagrya

Boil water with some oil and salt. Lower the flame and add rice flour.

Mix well until you get a soft dough. Switch off the flame and shift to a plate.

Add green chillies, coriander leaeves and cumin seeds to the dough and mix well. Add salt if needed.

Cut small roundels out of it and make small discs. Keep aside. Now, prepare a steamer by greasing some oil and place the discs.
5.
Steam of 10-15 minutes and you jave nivagrya ready in no time. Serve it with dahi or green chilli thecha or a dollop of ghee.
