Microwave Poha Recipe: Poha is a beloved breakfast dish that is delicious and healthy. Different regions tend to have their own versions and all are quite wholesome. This recipe shows you how to make a basic kanda poha in a microwave in just a few minutes.

Ingredients of Microwave Poha
- 1 Cup Poha
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (optional)
- 1/2 cup onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 6 curry leaves
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves, for garnish
- Salt to taste

Wash the poha thoroughly and drain all the extra water. Set aside.
In a microwave-safe bowl, add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves. Place this in the microwave on high heat for around 2 minutes.
Remove the bowl out and now add the chopped onions, turmeric and asafoetida. Mix well with a spoon and then microwave for 2 minutes again.
Stir the mixture and then add it to the washed poha. Add sugar and salt to taste. Combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
Cook this final poha mixture in the microwave for approx 3 minutes on high.
Add the lemon juice and mix the poha well. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
