Made with quite a few ingredients and no hassle of lengthy preparations, this crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside chaap is sure to leave you wanting for more.

Ingredients of Mutton Chaap fry

  • 500 gms Mutton Chaap pieces
  • 1/2 cup Hung Curd
  • 2 tbsp Besan powder
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dhaniya powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • A pinch of Kasuri Methi
  • A pinch of Haldi
  • Salt as required
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

How to Make Mutton Chaap fry

  • 1.Take the mutton chaap pieces and put it in a cooker along with ginger garlic paste, half of your black pepper powder and some salt. Add half a cup of water and let it cook for 1 whistle.
  • 2.Open the lid and check if the water is dry, if not then let all the water boil in high flame for another 5-10 mins.
  • 3.For the coating, in a bowl, take hung curd, besan, rice flour, remaining black pepper powder, all the other masalas along with lime juice and make a smooth runny batter. Add extra water if required.
  • 4.Add mutton pieces to this batter and coat each and every corner properly, let this sit for 10 mins.
  • 5.In a pan, heat oil in medium flame and then add mutton pieces one by one.
  • 6.Fry on each side for at least 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 7.Take off the heat and serve hot.
