Ingredients of Mutton Chaap Fry

  • 500 gms Mutton Chaap pieces
  • 1/2 cup Hung Curd
  • 2 tbsp Besan powder
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dhaniya powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • A pinch of Kasuri Methi
  • A pinch of Haldi
  • Salt as required
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

How to Make Mutton Chaap Fry

Take the mutton chaap pieces and put it in a cooker along with ginger garlic paste, half of your black pepper powder and some salt. Add half a cup of water and let it cook for 1 whistle.

Open the lid and check if the water is dry, if not then let all the water boil in high flame for another 5-10 mins.

For the coating, in a bowl, take hung curd, besan, rice flour, remaining black pepper powder, all the other masalas along with lime juice and make a smooth runny batter. Add extra water if required.

Add mutton pieces to this batter and coat each and every corner properly, let this sit for 10 mins.

In a pan, heat oil in medium flame and then add mutton pieces one by one.
6.
Fry on each side for at least 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
7.
Take off the heat and serve hot.
