How to make Mutton Ka Hara Keema

Mutton ka hara keema when served in the streets of Mumbai is paired with those soft ladi buns and savoured as a perfect lunch or late evening snack. Unlike the usual mutton ka keema, the hara keema is made with a refreshing and herby paste of coriander and chilli.

Ingredients of Mutton Ka Hara Keema

  • 1 Kg Minced Mutton
  • 1 cup Finely chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup Chopped coriander leaves
  • A handful of chopped mint leaves
  • 4-5 Green Chillies
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 4-5 Green Cardamom
  • 1 big sized cinnamon stick
  • 10-12 Black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • Salt according to taste

How to Make Mutton Ka Hara Keema

In a pan add some oil and ghee and let it heat lightly. Add the whole spices and ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone.

Add the chopped onions too and cook until lightly pink. Add the minced mutton and cook until all the water has been dried out.

Add garam masala, red chilli powder and salt according to your taste.

Cover and cook mutton for another 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a blender, the coriander and chillies and make a fine green paste.

Add the green paste to the mutton and mix well.
7.
Once everything has been mixed well, garnish with some coriander leaves and mint leaves and serve hot.
