About Pyaaz Pakoda Recipe | Pakoda Recipe: A deep fried snack that is made with flour, salt, light spices and the main ingredient being Onion or any other vegetable as an alternative. Pyaaz Pakoda is a very commonly made snack in Indian households and is a popular street food as well. Very easy to prepare when you have sudden guests at home. These make a good tea time snack, especially during rainy days and winters.

Ingredients of Pyaaz Pakoda

  • 2 Cups Besan
  • 1/2 Cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 2 tsp Red Chiilli Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Green Chillies
  • 1 Cup Coriander Leaves
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 6 Pieces Onion, sliced
  • 2 Green Chillies

How to Make Pyaaz Pakoda

  • 1.Take Besan in a bowl, add rice flour, salt, ajwain, ginger, red chilli powder, baking soda and green chilli to it.Pyaaz Pakoda
  • 2.Mix the ingredients together and add coriander leaves.Pyaaz Pakoda
  • 3.Now make a batter of these ingredients by adding water and stirring it together. Keep stirring until it turns into a thick batter.Pyaaz Pakoda
  • 4.Take some oil in a pan, dip onion slices completely into the batter and fry in the pan.Pyaaz Pakoda
  • 5.Deep fry until they turn crisp and golden brown.Pyaaz Pakoda
  • 6.Serve hot with green chilli garnishing along with tomato ketchup.Pyaaz Pakoda

Recipe Notes

You can make other types of pakodas as an alternative to Pyaaz like Paneer pakoda, Bread pakoda, etc.
