Bread pakora is a famous street food of Northern India. It is tasty appetizer and good tiffin box option. Bread wrapped in a gram flour batter and fried.

Ingredients of Bread Pakodas

  • 10-12 Bread sliced (cut)
  • For the batter:
  • 250 gms besan (gram flour)
  • Water (as needed)
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp haldi (turmeric )
  • 1 tsp jeera powder
  • to taste salt
  • 1/2 tsp meetha soda (soda bi-carbonate)
  • Oil (for deep frying)
  • 2 tsp Chaat masala (to garnish)

How to Make Bread Pakodas

Make a thick batter with water, flour, red chilli powder, cumin, turmeric, salt and soda bi-carb.

Coat each piece of bread with the batter and deep fry.

Sprinkle with chaat masala and serve with mint chutney or tomato ketchup
