Sangri are beans from a small to medium size tree found in Rajasthan. They're prepared in buttermilk along with a host of Indian spices to make a unique and healthy dish.

Ingredients of Sangri Kanda

  • 350 gm dry sangri
  • 150 gm green onion
  • 5 gm red chilli powder
  • 20 gm coriander powder
  • 5 gm whole red chillies
  • 20 gm amchoor powder
  • 50 gm oil
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 500 ml buttermilk

How to Make Sangri Kanda

  • 1.Put the sangri and buttermilk to boil.
  • 2.Heat oil in a kadahi and add the asafoetida and chopped green onions. Cook well.
  • 3.Add the dry masalas.
  • 4.Now add the sangri to the above mixture and cook well.
  • 5.Garnish with chopped coriander, tomatoes and ginger.
