About Som tam : Green Thai Raw papaya salad with lemon juice and peanuts is known as ‘Som Tam’. It has a crispy texture and links amazingly with the spice of red chilli and tangy flavour of lemon juice.

Ingredients of Som tam (Raw Papaya Salad)

  • 100 gms Raw Papaya
  • 1 medium Red Chill/Tomato
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 20 gram Peanuts (optional)
  • 50 gram Carrot (optional)
  • 15 ml Fish Sauce
  • 30 ml Lemon Juice
  • 30 gram Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 beans (optional)

How to Make Som tam (Raw Papaya Salad)

Cut raw papaya and carrot in julienne fashion.

Pound chili and garlic together.
3.
Cut vegetables of your choice into 1-inch size.
4.
Crush the peanut (optional)
5.
Mix it all together in a bowl.
6.
Add lemon juice, fish sauce or light soya and sugar.
7.
Mix everything together again & serve.

Key Ingredients: Raw Papaya, Red Chill/Tomato, Garlic, Peanuts (optional), Carrot (optional), Fish Sauce, Lemon Juice, Brown Sugar, beans (optional)
