Shangri-La's award-winning restaurant Tamra has been one of capital's favourite fine-dine destination for a while now. And if you have had a tough time choosing from the menu, there's good news for you. The Funday brunch, is Tamra, Shangri-La's latest offering to showcase their quality preparations made with imported ingredients from across the world. With a selection of dishes from India ,South East Asia, Japan, Middle East and Europe, the Sunday Brunch is a delightful retreat for those who appreciate variety. The live interactive kitchens such as a Teppanyaki counter, Sushi station, à la minute grills and kebabs, chaat counter keeps the space bustling with action. The 'Fresh Catch Of The Day Bar' houses a range prawns, crabs, lobsters, oysters and a variety of fish for all sea-food lovers. We really enjoyed the idea of specials, as that prevents brunches from getting monotonous, the day we visited it was the shawarma counter that had people hooked. Another special on the menu was the torched blueberry firni that was served to us on our table- perfect consistency and gorgeous to look at.
If you happen to be a fan of Asian food, you are in luck for the section is actually very diverse and carefully curated. Dimsums, sushi, teppanyaki, pad thai, jasmine rice, customized soups and claypot mains made the fare enticing. The dedicated Indian counter features succulent kebabs, sinful veg and non-veg curries, signature Dal, biryani and more. The stunning-looking dessert buffet with cakes, pastries, tarts, tiramisu, halwa and ladoos is expansive and also one of the most crowded spot of the restaurant (for obvious reasons).
