Spaghetti tossed in the tasty blend of cheese, herbs, nuts and garlic of the pesto sauce along with cherry tomatoes and a hint of clove make a fantastic combination. Here's an easy-to-follow recipe!!

Ingredients of Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce

  • 250 gm spaghetti, boiled in a pinch of salt and some oilve oil till al dente
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 sprig mint leaves, to garnish
  • 2 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove, whole; peeled

  • For the Pesto Sauce:
  • 2 cups basil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts or pine nuts
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

How to Make Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce

  1. For the Pesto Sauce:
  2. In a blender add all the ingredients and mix till a semi-fine paste is achieved.
  3. For the Pasta:
  4. In a pan add the olive oil and the garlic clove. Add the cherry tomatoes. Remove the whole garlic clove.
  5. Add the pesto sauce. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add the boiled spaghetti.
  7. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve hot.
