The word 'satpura' is made with two words, sat means seven whereas pura means layers. Hence, satpura is a seven layered puff or patty with a spicy potato filling inside. Amritsari-Style Satpura Recipe: How To Make Amritsari-Style Satpura
Start by kneading the dough. For this, take a mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, oil, butter and ajwain. Mix everything well and knead a soft dough. Once done, cover it with wet muslin cloth and set aside.
Now take a small portion from the dough and start rolling it with the help of a rolling pin. Keep rolling until the portion gets very thin. Once done, spread butter all over the portion. Dust it with all-purpose flour.
