Potato is one ingredient that can be transformed into numerous dishes. Baked potato lets us enjoy the true flavours of the vegetable. The soft, mushy flesh of the potato spiced with some robust spices and sauces, and that oh-so wonderful smokiness from baking - all make it a satiating treat. Another great thing about this dish is that it is super easy to make, yet, it is not as famous a dish as it deserves to be. Reason: not everyone has an oven at home.
Padma Lakshmi solved this problem by sharing a recipe of baked potatoes that doesn't need an oven to make; she makes it in a microwave! In an Instagram post, Padma Lakshmi revealed that she likes her baked potatoes topped with some butter, yogurt and lots of hot sauce.

She first pierces the potato all over with a sharp knife (you can even use a fork). Then she places it in the microwave for few minutes, till it is cooked. Simple, isn't it?
