In the video, she explains what hot flashes are and their symptoms. She then mentions that "our bodies start feeling out of control, and we also have many other kinds of symptoms like skin pigmentation, loss of hair, loss of satiety, bloating, irritation and more."
After explaining this, she talks about the three foods one should add to their diet. First, she mentions kopra pak, also called nariyal barfi. Rujuta says, "Instead of eating other anti-oxidant rich foods like cocoa powder and all, nariyal barfi actually helps you a lot. You can have a piece of it around 11 AM or post-lunch. Coconut has essential fatty acids. These fatty acids help to regain energy. It also helps with sugar cravings. Coconut also has lauric acid that helps to calm down a person and gives them a feeling of nourishment." You can find the recipe for nariyal barfi here.
Secondly, she talks about local vegetable chutney with til. She says, "This chutney is made with ridge gourd skin and til. This will help introduce the good bacteria into your body and is good for bone mineral density." She continues to share, "Til can also help with pigmentation and acne. So, having this chutney can help with skin and hair issues along with gas, bloating and acidity."
