It is rightly said, food connects the world. And the Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison has proved it yet again. Recently, he cooked up a feast at home to celebrate the new trade agreement signed between India and Australia. Guess what was on the menu? Let us tell you, it was a curry night for Prime Minister Morrison and family where he cooked Khichdi and curry. He took to Instagram to share glimpses of his desi meal. In the first picture, we could see Prime Minister Morrison with a pot full of khichdi and a pan by the side. The second picture had some desi-style curry with a garnish of dhania and curry leaves.
"To celebrate our new trade agreement with India, the curries I chose to cook for curry night tonight are all from my dear friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Gujarat province, including his favourite Khichdi," he wrote alongside the pictures. The pictures of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in no time took the internet by storm and people started sharing their reactions to it. The post garnered 23.6k likes and thousands of comments on it.
"Enjoy your dinner," wrote one. Another comment read, "Looks amazing." A third person stated, "Looks delicious."
For the unversed, India and Australia signed an economic cooperation and trade agreement earlier this week under which Canberra would provide duty-free access in its market for 95 percent of Indian goods such as textiles, leather, furniture, jewellery and machinery.
