Fresh, hot pizza delivered to your doorstep is a treat nobody can resist. There are so many pizza delivery joints in major Indian cities that we never truly run out of options. Previously, popular pizza chains like Domino's would promise their customers, "30 minutes delivery or pizza is free!" And now, the pizza chain has taken it a step higher. In a recent announcement, Domino's India has announced a reduced time of just 20 minutes to deliver hot and fresh pizzas to your neighbourhood. Believe it or not, the Indian market is the largest and Domino's aims to expand it even further. "India is the largest market outside of the US in the global Domino's network," said Russell Weiner, CEO of Domino's.

The 20-minute delivery has been introduced in 20 zones across 14 cities in India. The press release does not mention which cities are included in this list, but metropolitan cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai are likely to be included. This news comes after grocery delivery applications like Swiggy Instamart, Zepto and Blinkit are promising a 10-minute delivery time for essential items.
Domino's is taking a number of steps to reduce the delivery time, such as technology upgradation, improved operational efficiencies and expanding the number of stores in the cities. "These steps help the brand optimize the overall timing of the entire process, ensuring the delivery of hotter, fresher and tastier pizza in 20 minutes without compromising the food quality and the safety & well-being of its delivery riders," read a statement by Domino's India. "In our endeavour to raise our service levels, we are clear that we will do so without compromising our riders' safety," said Sameer Khetarpal, CEO of Jubilant Foodworks.
A number of Twitter users weighed in on the news about the 20-minute delivery shared by Domino's. Take a look at the reactions:
@dominos_india domino is starting with 20 min delivery service. Sad to see this as in currently even in 30 min the domino's store seems to be in a lot of hurry and leave the base of pizza half cooked at times. Don't know what this 20 min delivery will do #dominoimprovetaste— Pulkit Gupta (@PulkitG85452397) December 21, 2022
Terrible idea and don't understand why most of these service providers are joining the bandwagon. Most traffic violators are these delivery guys who have no option but to pander to fastest delivery & risk their lives. I am sure customers will be ok to get something at 30 min!— Swati P Mishra (@SwatiPMishra) December 21, 2022
Abhi Wo 30 min k bajay 20 min mai delivery krenge toh 2-3 saal mai 5 min tak toh pahuch jyenge 😜— Soulhealer (@myownhealer) December 21, 2022
They already claiming delivery in 20 minutes 😜 15 min more they will adjust soon— Soulhealer (@myownhealer) December 21, 2022
@dominos Can I recommend you remove the "30 min" expected delivery time after an order is placed from the app? It's NEVER 30 minutes. If I had known it was going to take over an hour, I would have done the order for pickup.— Chris Collins (@cmcollins001) December 21, 2022
