A visit to the restaurant is nothing short of an experience. We order our favourite appetisers, sit back and sip some drinks in a vibrant atmosphere. However, sitting for too long in a restaurant often becomes a problem for the management and staff. People keep idling and chatting for hours without ordering more food, thus leading to business losses and long lines of diners who wait to get a seat. To solve this problem, a restaurant has come up with a new kind of seating for their customers. They have installed bizarre 'tilted' seats to make the process of sitting for your meal uncomfortable and thus vacate your seat faster. Take a look:

The picture of the tilted seats was shared on Twitter by an account called @hostiledesign, where it went viral receiving over 169k likes and thousands of comments and retweets. "Tilted seats designed to be uncomfortable while eating," read the tweet. In the comments, the same account added, "These seats are designed so people don't sit too long while eating. A way to keep people moving along."
The uncomfortable tilted seats stirred up a debate on Twitter. Some people felt that this could actually be a fun activity to keep ourselves upright while eating food. "This looks really fun and I'd love to sit tilted," wrote one user while another added, "That's very clever!" A few others did not find the idea appealing at all and did not understand why such seats were created in the first place. A user wrote, "Whoever came up with this idea deserved the deepest HELL," while another chimed in, "If you see these, destroy these!"

Nah. These places are there for one to eat and move on. If you want to socialize while you eat, go to a proper restaurant like a normal person.— Sora (@Sorastae) August 15, 2022
