Actor Abhay Deol and Aneesha Baig try their hands on a seafood spaghetti recipe. Squids, lobsters, prawns and scallops cooked in a mildly flavored tomato sauce and sprinkled with some basil.

Ingredients of Seafood Spaghetti

  • 1/2 packet spaghetti, boiled till al dente in salted water
  • Basil leaves, a bunch, chopped
  • For the tomato sauce:
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp garlic, crushed
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 3 cups tomato, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • For the seafood:
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
  • 3 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 2 lobsters
  • 3-4 prawns
  • 4 scallops
  • 3-4 Tbsp white wine
  • 3-4 Tbsp sliced squid
  • 2 Tbsp crab meat

How to Make Seafood Spaghetti

  • For the tomato sauce:
  • 1.In a pan add oil, crushed garlic. Saute till golden brown.
  • 2.Add chopped onions. Saute till pink.
  • 3.Add chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and bay leaves. Saute till tomatoes are cooked.
  • 4.Puree the sauce and strain to form a fine puree. Keep aside.
  • For the seafood:
  • 1.In a pan add oil, chopped onion and garlic. Saute.
  • 2.Add lobsters, prawns and scallops. Saute for a few minutes and add white wine to de-glaze.
  • 3.Pour the prepared tomato sauce and cook for 2 minutes.
  • 4.Add sliced squid and crab meat. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • 5.Add the boiled spaghetti, sprinkle a generous amount of chopped basil.
  • 6.Serve.
