Broccoli and walnuts moulded in a ring shape with gelatin. A new twist to salads!

Ingredients of Broccoli and Walnut Mould

  • 1 Tbsp (8 gm) gelatin
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup broccoli, chopped and blanched
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (akhrot), shelled and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp powdered black pepper (pissi kali mirch)
  • 1/4 cup baby corn, cooked and chopped
  • A mould, rinsed in cold water

How to Make Broccoli and Walnut Mould

In half a cup of water at room temperature, sprinkle the gelatin and let soak for 1/2 an hour.

Pour 1 1/2 cups of boiling water over and mix well to dissolve. Leave to cool.
3.
When cool and beginning to set, mix in the broccoli, walnuts, salt, pepper and corn.
4.
Transfer into the mould and leave to chill and set in the refrigerator.
5.
When ready to serve, pass a knife around to loosen edges, place an inverted plate over the mould and turn upside down.
6.
The molded salad will fall into the plate. Serve.
