Ingredients of Kashmiri Palak Aur Malai Paneer Tikka
250 Ml hung yogurt
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp mustard oil
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp tandoori orange colour (optional)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
100 gram palak paste
50 gram cream cheese
2 green chillies , finely chopped
100 gram paneer (cut into 3.5cm roundels in three batches)
Oil (to baste)
How to Make Kashmiri Palak Aur Malai Paneer Tikka
1.Whisk the yogurt thoroughly.
2.Mix together all the ingredients, in three batches-batches 1-with chilli, batch 2 with palak and batch 3 with cream cheese, except paneer to make a fine smooth paste.
3.Put paneer in 3 large bowls. Rub the marinade lightly on the paneer pieces and marinate for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.
4.Arrange the paneer on the skewers leaving 1 cm space between cubes. Put skewers in the tandoor.
5.Baste the skewers with oil at regular intervals.
6.Remove them from tandoor when tender and cooked.
7.To make a tricolor of this dish, arrange the paneer cubes as shown in the picture.
8.Serve hot with onion rings, lemon wedges and a fresh green salad of your choice.
